What are you really waiting for?

Do it or Don’t do it; both are up to you but the world will certainly not wait for you. So get on with it already!

Many times we contemplate doing something that will better our lives, pursuing dreams that we have held on for so long but somehow have not been able to do anything about.

You have thought about going back to school, starting a business, pursuing a hobby, traveling, quitting your job, getting another job, getting out of that toxic relationship, starting an exercise routine, losing weight, pursuing your ideas and many things that only you and anyone who cares to listen know about.

You have prayed, sowed seeds, waited for the right time and still waiting, been jealous, envious or surprised when you see others do it seemingly so effortlessly. You have talked about it on many occasions and to many people that simply don’t care whether you start or not.

Somehow you are still marking time and going round in circles not being sure about yourself or what to do. You keep convincing yourself that the excuse you are holding on to is tangible but you fail to admit that you are afraid to fail. Fear, self-doubt and the belief that there is more time or it’s not time yet have become your closet companions.

One thing you should be aware of, however, is that the world is and will continue to move on whether you act or do not act on your dreams, aspirations and desires. So get on with it already! No one starts today and becomes successful same day. Every pursuit is a journey and the earlier you start, the more likely you are to succeed.

So I ask you again, what really are you waiting for?

Do you have your copy of my book; YOUR DREAMS MATTER yet? if not; call or whatsapp 0558591157 to get your copy.

How happy are your clients?

For many of us entrepreneurs, our excitement comes from having breathtaking light bulb moments where we have and work on new ideas sometimes at the detriment of our existing clients.

Many times, we have so many ideas and not even sure how to execute them. Ideas by themselves don’t make any one rich, it is when they have been converted into some service or product and patronized by customers that their real value emerge.

Be more focused on giving your patrons value for their time and money than exciting yourself with numerous ideas and fantasizing about building some conglomerate and being called a serial entrepreneur.

It is customers and their loyal patronage that will bring you the resources you need to pursue your biggest dreams. But paying less attention to them, you are ‘killing’ your ‘cow’ that brings you the ‘cash’.

Master customer care and you will be building a gift that keeps on giving. The happier your customers are; the happier you will be and the easier it will be to grow and expand your business.

So I ask again; How happy are your clients?

Do share and let’s keep the conversation going. Wishing you the very best this week.

35 Highlights of my year 2017 – Ekow Mensah

EMI Projects.fwOn 31st December, 2016, I started a tradition of writing about my highlights of the just ended year limiting it to the number of my age, so my first article was on the 34 highlights of my year 2016. This saw the listing of 34 things I together with my team successfully accomplished in 2016 that I was most proud of. This year, the tradition continues. Ekow Mensah - Highlights of my year 2017 - Capacity BuildingIndeed 2017 has been an eventful year. A year that saw the execution of a lot of the initiatives that were only ideas in my head some years ago such as a solo speaking conference, a business pageant and a public speaking competition which came off successfully. It is a year that also saw me winning several awards for my achievements in Entrepreneurship Development in Ghana.

In 2018, I will certainly build on my achievements in 2017 but ensure that at all cost I will focus more attention on my personal brand building efforts, completing my pending books, supporting entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs to grow sustainably, building a formidable and well equipped team and breaking new territories in other African countries.

I am truly grateful to God for an amazing 2017 and look forward to 2018 with hope, optimism and an unwavering passion to igniting dreams, impacting lives and restoring hope to many around the world.

My biggest lesson for 2017 is to live light by getting rid of everything and everyone that stresses you, your business and your dreams. You are the most important person in the world and when you have less things to worry about, you are able to focus on things that truly matter.Ekow Mensah - Highlights of my year 2017 - Personal

Remember that it is not how many things you do that matter but how well you do them. Don’t relent in the pursuit of your dreams and the focus on living a lasting legacy. Someday soon, if you don’t give up, you will certainly succeed. I wish you the very best in 2018.

34 Highlights of my year 2016 – Ekow Mensah

highlights-of-my-year-2016-poster-12016 has been an eventful year for me indeed. Despite its ups and downs, this year has been by far my most exciting but exceedingly busy year; so busy I couldn’t even make time for my favorite past time: social media. It is the year that we decided to show the world what we have been cooking for so long and to God be the Glory, we were widely successful in our exploits. Most of these highlights below would not have been possible without the unflinching support of my ever reliable and supportive wife Mrs. Adwoa Mensah and my relentless and hardworking team members, notable amongst them being Delali Nora Kumahor, Prince Akpah and Derrick Edem Sosoo. To these 4 pillars of support, I say a big thank you and God bless you. I am highly optimistic that our 2017 together will be way better and our exploits will be mind-blowing.

For the very 1st time ever, I am happy to share with you all, some of my highlights of the year 2016. My maiden resolution for 2017 though, is to accurately document my activities and highlights because trying to remember everything I have done in 2016 is fast becoming the most challenging of all my tasks this year. Going over the list above, it is evident that 2016 has been a busy year for me indeed but sadly it has not been my most fulfilling because I could not launch my personal brand and its flagship project Igniting Dreams. I also could not complete any of the numerous books I have started writing since God knows when.
So my resolutions for 2017 are quite cut out accurately for me;

  1. Build my Personal Brand – The Ekow Mensah Brand with its primary focus on Igniting Dreams and Impacting Lives.
  2. Completing and Publishing 2 of my books
  3. And, of course, ensuring that my 2017 exploits are truly fulfilling, impact-driven, mind blowing and extremely exciting.

highlights-of-my-year-2016-poster-4Not sure what your 2016 highlights are or which resolutions you will be committed to in 2017 but one thing I can share with you all is this; THAT ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE, PAY ATTENTION TO YOURSELF AND PURSUE THAT WHICH BRINGS YOU FULFILLMENT. BY ALL MEANS, BE BUSY BUT DO NOT WASTE YOUR LIFE IN THE PURSUIT OF THINGS YOU WILL NOT REGRET NOT DOING IN EXCHANGE FOR THINGS YOU WISH YOU HAD DONE!

May your 2017 be as exciting and fulfilling as mine!

Igniting Dreams the Trump Way!

ekow-mensah-igniting-dreams-donald-trumpI have been meaning not to comment on the US Elections and Donald Trump’s Victory but I honestly think that though it didn’t go in favour of lots of people for obvious reasons, there are still some very significant lessons to be drawn from it.

First of all, I deeply admire the resoluteness, determination and resilience of Donald Trump. 3 unique traits that have certainly made him the 45th President of the United States of America. 3 very important traits that every entrepreneur needs in their quest to make it in business. Trump knew what he wanted, he knew how to get it and he certainly got it regardless of stiff opposition.

By far, Trump faced the most ridicule and unbelief any candidate has ever experienced I think. We are all probably shocked at his victory because we most likely did not think he had any chance at becoming a president of any country, thoughtless USA.

A critical lesson here is that, when you begin the pursuit of a dream that seems impossible to many, especially when you don’t seem to have what it takes, speak the language that is most accepted or tow the path most traveled, most people will not give you a fighting chance. You will face tremendous opposition, insults and discouragement. Giving up will often seem the most logical thing to do but remember that the sweetest revenge is always victory.

Success does not come easily and to proof people wrong takes a lot of guts, thick skin and perseverance. Indeed, while many may be publicly condemning and discouraging you, a significant majority may be rooting for you in silence as in the case of His Excellency President Donald Trump.

I do not, in anyway, support some of the utterances and stance of Donald Trump during his campaign but I very much admire his exhibition of some of the most significant traits that makes one successful in business, family and ultimately in life; resoluteness of vision and purpose, unwavering determination, freedom of speech, lack of fear of public ridicule, boldness, hard and smart work, strategic planning, flawless implementation, people management and exhibition of maturity after victory (knowing when to stop fighting).

The list of traits and strategies deployed by Donald Trump publicly and secretly have today made him the 45th President of America. Like it or not, there are lessons to be learnt and it is my hope that you will learn these lessons and also be successful in your fight for victory in the pursuit of your dreams or purpose in life.

Congratulations to President Donald Trump and all the best to you.

The day I met Prince Edward & Lord Paul Boateng

Ekow Mensah meets Lord Paul BoatengWith so much happening all at once in my life, updating blog has become a chore. I can’t wait to tell you all about what God is blessing me with this year. Let’s start with my meeting with Lord Paul Boateng, Britain’s first black Cabinet minister and the first British-Ghanaian to sit in the House of Lords at the British Council Ghana, same day I met Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, the youngest of four children and the third son of Queen Elizabeth II.

Sadly, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures with him but it was a pleasure talking to him about the Digital Jobs Africa Program, a Rockefeller sponsored program I am privileged to be one of the 4 facilitators on. I was blown away by the ‘down to earth’ personalities of both Prince Edward and Lord Paul Boateng; 2 great men with a heart for humanity. Humility especially amongst great people is admirable indeed. A great day it was!
